Hlwong Phu Jan Khantigo (81 years old), is an old Master from Gampong Tom , Cambodia. He is renowned for his immense ability and power in all facets of Wicha Khom (Khmer Saiyasart). As a child, he already started to learn Saiyasart with his father, as well as with Hlwong Phu Dtiar (who was his real grandfather). He started learning Magical arts with Hlwong Phu Dtiar at the ripe young age of thirteen. Hlwong Phu Dtiar was so advanced in Saiyasart, that he could send his mind into a bird and fly around to catch you up to no good, or when a case of 'Chang Dtok man' (Elephant in mating frenzy) was evident, he would be able to calm the elephant in question by simply stroking it with his hand (this is a dangerous thing to try to do to an elephant in mating frenzy!).
Hlwong Phu Jan learned Wicha Akom with Hlwong Phu Dtiar until, at the age of fifteen, He attempted to 'Saek Hun Gumarn Tong Hian' (animate the spirit of a dead child into a Gumarn Tong effigy using Kata Akom Khom spells).
His attempt was a complete success, and he discovered his special ability to be able to bind 'Winyaan Hian' (spirits of people who died in unnatural circumstances) and invoke them into a Gumarn Tong effigy. He then tried to make Tagrud, they turned out to be good Kong Grapan Klaew Klaad with the people who wore them, and he expanded his practice to begin making Sanaeh (love charms), which also became famous for successful results. At the age of nineteen, he was ordained as a monk with Hlwong Phu Dtiar, who taught him to practice Vipassana Kammathana to a very advanced level.

After Hlwong Phu Dtiar passed away, Hlwong Phu Jan set out on Tudong (solitary forest wandering) all around Kampuchea, and developed his meditative and psychic powers over the years, staying in remote places in the forest, mountain, caves and the like, in order to dis-attach his mind from the conditioning of the world and awaken the inner eye. He also traveled around Laos, Burma and Thailand, wandering through almost every province. He liked to wander along the border lines between Thailand and Kampuchea, which were riddled with mines, man-traps and bombs, but miraculously, he was never harmed. Hlwong Phu Jan never really liked to stay in temples, and would often 'Bplug Gratob' (build a small shelter) in the middle of the forest, and stay alone there for years. He made many amulets over the years, mostly Tagrud and effigies, which he would like to hand out to the people as he traveled. He would often give protective amulets to Cambodian soldiers, who tell stories of people who wore them being shot and unharmed, or who stepped on a land mine and flew through the air, but did not have a scratch on them when they landed. Sometimes, Hlwong Phu Jan would stay at a Wat (temple) near the border, in places such as Surin, Buriram, Sri Saket, Sra Gaew and Chanta Buri and Ubon Ratchatani. Sometimes he would stay on the Thai side, and sometimes on the Cambodian side. One this that is certain, wherever he was, he always had a massive number of Looksit (devotees), who were around him. Many of these Looksit became Masters (both Laymen and Sangha), all having learned their Wicha from Hlwong Phu Jan. They would study with him when he was staying in a temple close by them, or would go and find him on his Tudong wanderings, and follow him to take lessons in Saiyasart and amuletmaking. It is said that meeting him leaves you with a strong impression from his immensely powerful aura, his sacred form of speech and the magic power in his voice. If someone did something wrong, and Hlwong Phu catches the persons eye, that person will have to own up and reveal what he or she has done. They will be unable to resist admitting their wrongs. Gumarn Tong Tep Rit Aathan Mueang Gampong Tom (Dtua Jiw) Nuea Pong Gumarn Nai Kan - Gumarn Tong with magical powers of a Deva of Gampong Tom city (miniature) - made from powder of Gumarn died in the womb.

Gumarn Tong Taep Rit Aathan Mueang Gampong Tom is animated by the Wicha (Magical Art) Blug Hun Akataat of Khmer magical tradition. Hlwong Phu Jan is able to make incantations which are able to make a Gumarn effigy vibrate and move. The Gumarn Dtua Jiw miniature by Hlwong Phu Jan is full of magic power from the Pong prai Gumarn Nai Kan sacred powder, and the incantations and bindings
made by Hlwong Phu as he communicated with the spirits of Gumarn to inhabit the effigy. The Gumarn will whisper to warn of danger in the house, protect the house and its family members, bring luck and wealth, health and happiness to the homestead. He can watch over you when on travels, or in the home as well. The spell which forces the Gumarn, is so powerful that he will do his utmost to help you in all situations. The small size of the Gumarn Aathan Dtua Jiw makes it easy to carry with you on your travels.

Bringing the Gumarn into the House
Before entering the house the first time with the Gumarn, you must light 16 incense sticks, and tell the Devas that you are bringing the Gumarn into the house to stay. Then light three incense sticks and offer them to Buddha Dhamma and Sangha (Triple Gem) in the house, and light one more single incense stick, and invite the Gumarn to enter the house and join his Mother and Father. You must then give a name to your son (the Gumarn). Place the Gumarn on a pedestal that is lower than that of the Buddha. Bucha (make poojah/worship) with food, sweet drinks, and fruits. If this is too difficult, you can call the Gumarn to eat with you instead. He will eat whatever
you eat. Put him a portion on his own plate, do not feed him from your plate. Do not give him any kind of alcohol or intoxicants, or anything which would be against the 5 precepts. Doing so would cause the magic of the Gumarn to 'Sueam' (fall into decay/entropy), and go bad.

Half Deva, half Roaming Spirit.
Hlwong Phu Jants Gumarn Tong Taep Rit Pong Prai Gumarn Nai Kan, is half 'Taep' (เทพ – Deva/Deity), and half 'Prai' (พราย - spirit of a person who died unnatural death). For this reason, the Gumarn has a perfect combination of the different qualities of a Deva and a Prai Hian. The Deva aspect has more power than a Prai spirit, but does not often make shows of magic power. But the Prai, although not as powerful as the Deva, does like to show its magic power. Therefore, the mix of the two, will bring great power from the Deva part of the Gumarn, and let it be allowed to be released through the character of the Prai Hian that wishes to display its power. This is what makes this amulet so powerful and special. When Hlwong Phu jan was binding the Gumarn with a spirit, he had to go find a spirit that was about to be reborn as a Deva, and make a body for him out of the powder of his corpse ashes, and then call the spirit to come and inhabit the amulet as his new body. Gumarn Tong will help you with no need of forcing him, it is his nature to help you because of his Deva aspect. Bucha the Gumarn for seven days, and you will see results, be they direct or indirect. When you feel you have received blessings or help from the Gumarn Tong, you should always reward him with some presents, such as sweets, clothes or toys. Don't forget he will be very pleased to receive these presents (for indeed he is
still a young boy in his spirit life, and likes the things young boys like), and will bestow even more blessings upon your household when you treat him as a 'Golden Child'.
